Half Remembered Dream

Challenged to tell a story in three minutes without dialogue, I began storyboarding a series of scenes throughout the character’s pasts.

In each moment the two would become closer moving from a state of shock to acceptance of finding her in his dreams.

I needed a bit ~more to carry the narrative through but I think that between the camera and music, the themes begin to come through.

I have another scene of a similar premise—moving through a couple’s past—but with a guiding present-day conversation working to pull the audience through the narrative.

I’m happy with this film considering my other work from the time and was the start of my current thinking. A lot of the stylistic choices and themes that I began to work with are the main concern of current projects.
